Did you do anything special for yourself this holiday season?

Information:

Hopefully, you enjoyed time with your family and friends during the holidays. Many people spend the holidays serving others and buying gifts, which are wonderful, but some of them forget about self-care. Did you do anything special for yourself? Are you unhappy with the way your teeth look? Do you want to make minor cosmetic changes to the appearance of your teeth? There is a minimally invasive way to give you the smile you’ve always wanted.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells made of porcelain. They cover the front surface of your teeth and allows you to change the color, size, and shape of your teeth. Veneers are stain-resistant and look like natural teeth.

Porcelain Veneers Can Cover:

  • Chipped or worn teeth
  • Irregularly shaped, uneven, or slightly misaligned teeth
  • Gapped teeth
  • Stained or discolored teeth

Consultation — We’ll examine your teeth and review your x-rays. We may need to take impressions of your teeth. Then, we’ll listen as you tell us about the results you want. We’ll make sure veneers are the best solution to meet your needs. Before treatment begins, we’ll explain the process and go over your treatment plan.

Preparation — Removing a small amount of tooth enamel is necessary to prepare teeth for veneer placement. We take impressions and send them with your tooth shade to the lab to process your case. It can take two to four weeks for your veneers to come back.

Delivery — At the delivery appointment, we’ll check your veneers and make adjustments to make sure the fit and color are correct. In preparation for bonding the veneer, we need to clean, polish, and etch your tooth. The etch makes the surface of the tooth rough to help the cement adhere. The cement is applied to your veneer, and then we place it on the tooth. We use a special light to harden it, and then we make the final adjustments.

In a couple weeks, you may need a follow-up visit to check the position of your veneer and to inspect your gums. The porcelain veneers can last seven to 15 years with proper care. Brush your teeth twice daily and floss once daily. Get regular dental exams and cleanings. If you’re interested in getting porcelain veneers, call our office to schedule an appointment.
